Our society today is beginning to be all about technology and even young children have iphones, ipods, ipads, etc. Children don't get the stimulation anymore, they are too busy playing video games and on the computer. Its always argued about how to use it effectively in the classroom, or even to use technology in the classroom at all. Some teachers disagree that technology in the classroom doesn't help. Whereas, other teachers believe that technology is very useful in the classroom.
Teachers may abuse the fact of having technology and just giving the children something to do while they can get some peace or a break from the children. When using technology with children, the teacher should be interacting with them to help with any questions, and emphasizing the learning abilities of each individual child.
My philosophy on technology is that technology in a classroom is very important. But only to an extent. The classroom can't be over run with technology, but having some will be useful for children. It is important for children to learn how to use technology, but it is also important for the use of technology to be interactive. Its more effective when the children can interact, because children learn more and learn quicker than if they were sitting in a classroom being lectured.
